House Hunters (HGTV). I like this show because you get to see a lot of cities and neighborhoods around the country. And you discover nice places to live and outside the united states, too.

Lipstick jungle = botox forest. My lord could the skin have been pulled any tighter in that show. Laughing during funeral - MTM Cheating while on a break - friends Ross & Rachel. Disappointed with 1st episode of new season. Let’s hope the second episode brings back the freshness of the first season.

I love documentaries and I love HBO and your description of “Taxi from the Dark Side” reminded me of a movie I saw recently (on TV, of course, because I don’t go “out there” to see a movie; I can wait until it comes to TV) called “Rendition”, so I was intrigued enough to take a peek. It looks like something I will have to watch in short segments due to my fragile psyche.

Life on Mars - transalation everything old is new again, but in a great way. I was glued to my tv and I can’t remember the last time that happened. The music, the scenery, the acting. I predict this will be a huge hit. The scene with the World Trade Center took my breath away. Triple loved it.

About “The Starter Wife”, although Judy Davis is one of my favorite actresses, I’ve seen only the promos. Is there more to the show than just sex and the “other” city?

I think I watch TV like a man; I don’t want to know what’s on TV, I want to know what else is on TV. On Saturday I watched Leonard Bernstein on OVATION, “Sordid Lives” on LOGO, and Graham Norton with Eddie Izzard and Harry Shearer on BBC AMERICA all at the same time. THAT was fun! I wondered why Eddie Izzard looked different and then he explained he’s dressing like a boy now.

There are two very good reasons to watch “The Mentalist” and they are: Simon Baker. I read your reviews of “Eli Stone” after I watched it. I must be just the right amount of quirky because I liked it! I tuned in in the first place because the song they used in the promos, “Eli’s Coming”, was written by the late, great Laura Nyro. I was pleasantly surprised to see Sigourney Weaver and Victor Garber. Wasn’t he God in “Godspell”?

“Bear Feeding Frenzy” is a sham. The “wild bears” that they are supposedly using for their experiments on wild bear behavior are in fact captive bears who have been raised at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. They see hundreds of people a day and act very differently than a wild bear would. Shame on Discovery Channel for spreading bad information.

I am really embarrassed to admit this, but both my best friend and I have been going hysterical over “Worst Week.” It’s unabashed slapstick, and what we’ve been enjoying doing is checking out all the little incidents and figuring out how they’ll fit into this week’s fiasco, e.g., how will a golf cart with ruined brakes, a changing room in an exclusive country club and a gazebo screw up the wedding plans this time? Generally, we don’t regularly watch sitcoms (except for “My Name is Earl”), but this one takes the cake–right in the face.

Thanks for recommending “Cat Dancers”. I didn’t watch it the day you mentioned it, but my curiosity must have been piqued enough for me to set a reminder which popped up tonight so I watched it. It was a tad strange. It’s not often you get to see proper ballet dancing and magic tricks and big cat tricks and body-building and naked ballet dancing all in the same show with a cast of only three. If I saw one more person kissing a big cat on the mouth, I was going to throw up a hair ball. The show was quite fascinating and disgusting, especially considering the personal lifestyle of the trio. And to think it was all William Holden’s fault! Recommended!

    DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES
submitted by Old Friend in NJ

The 100th episode of desperate housewives does not disappoint. Suffice to say I love an episode told in flashbacks. I like being able to see people long gone, and to be able to judge the jump backs thru hair styles, clothing (Mary Alice’s high waisted jeans were not wasted on me), pregnancy and people. The flashbacks were flawless. This episode has everything.

Watching Mr. Bridges play the lovable handyman reminds you, you just don’t see enough of him.

As a fan of desperate I have ridden the highs and lows and last night was a high. You laughed, you cried.
You remembered how Gabbie made into the group of ladies, Lynette’s struggle to have it all, Bree’s first marriage to Rex before she was became “Martha Stewart”, Susan’s coming full circle from desperate mess to strong independent woman. Why Edie is the way she is. (Sidebar) Was I the only one who sat and watched in amazement Nicollette Sheridan’s body?

Desperate started with Mary Alice and seasons later concluded it’s 100th episode with Mary Alice. You have to love continuity. The premises of how one life touches so many others told with humor and tears.

Thank you Mr. Cherry for such a lovely episode. It was like receiving a beautifully wrapped gift and finding just what you wanted inside.

Okay, people, how do we go about saving “My Name is Earl”? This is the best repertory cast and most hilarious writing since “Seinfeld.” Every time one theme seems old, they take several turns and do something else. They tie everything up. Every character is drawn to specs. Kevin, can you start the Kev-O Network?

It’s pretty much beyond hope, Kate. Too bad - see TV News.
